Forte Chamber Music has promoted artists and produced chamber concerts in Lynchburg, Virginia, since 2005.  In January, 2005, Forte presented the Gustavo Romero Music Festival in the Joy and Lynch Christian Warehouse Theatre of the Academy of Fine Arts.  The concert, featuring pianists Gustavo Romero and Massimo Somenzi, was the inaugural event at the Academy.  From 2005 through 2007, Forte produced concerts featuring the James String Quartet, pianist Bryan Wright, the Leya String Quartet, and an ensemble featuring Adam DeGraff, Ralph Jaxtheimer, and Richard Wroncy.

In 2006, Forte Chamber Music and the Academy of Fine Arts presented the first Music Festival, which included The Gustavo Romero Young Artists Piano Competition.  2009 marked the fourth anniversary of the Forte Chamber Music Festival.
